Living rooms have changed. Once so formal that furniture was kept protected in plastic coating, our culture has finally relaxed and we have started actually “living” in these spaces.
Depending on the size of the home and other rooms available, a living room can be an exclusive place to impress and entertain or a comfortable location for casual gatherings and unwinding.
Open floor plans have become popular in the past decade, connecting the kitchen and dining area with the living room for better circulation. Whether contained within 4 walls or “open,” a living area is the hub and sets the tone for the rest of the home.
